BACK TO LIBRARY INFORMATION

The Huachuca City Library is affiliated with the Huachuca City/Whetstone Food Bank.  Food boxes may be purchased at the Library for monthly pick-up next door at the Senior Center.  The Food Bank works in conjunction with the Tucson Food Bank and the USDA Commodities Program.

Cost of the food packages includes a transportation fee from Tucson and offers a regular box with approximately 15-20 items (varies month-to-month) for $16.00, and a frozen package of 7-10 items (also varies month-to-month) for $11.00.

The Commodities Program requires signing a form listing number of household residents.  The contents of the bag usually include canned items, dry goods, and fresh fruit in season when available.

For more information on contents, costs, and procedures, please call the Library at 456-1063 (Monday thru Friday, 11:00 to 4:00).
