SERVICES

The Library District headquarters does not circulate materials directly to members of the general public. However, all circulating materials located at headquarters are available through the request system at any member library. The Library District's courier provides delivery to and from most member libraries several times each week.

Staff at the Library District headquarters provide support services to member libraries so that the libraries can, in turn, better serve their customers. Services to libraries include:

  • supplementary books, magazines, videos and audio cassettes;
  • interlibrary loan to and from libraries outside the District;
  • assistance with reference/research questions;
  • continuing education;
  • administration and maintenance of the countywide online system.

The Library District currently operates two bookmobiles: the Minibookmobile which provides Talking Books and Homebound Services, and the Bookmobile which serves rural residents.
